Abby's 6th birthday

This year, Abby's birthday party theme was horses. We had a big cookout in the backyard. We gave all the kids cowboy hats and had stick horse races. (You should have seen them go!) Then we had a horse pinata. It really was a lot of fun! One little boy said it was the best party he had ever been to. Way to go, Mom!!!

COOKIES!

This evening, I was getting ready for bed and our couch started talking to me. It was saying, "Cookies, Cookies, Cookies". It sounded a lot like Cookie Monster, but it was our couch. I turned on the light in the living room and cautiously approached the couch...only to find Aaron's Cookie Monster book tucked into one of the cushions. The sound effects button was being pushed down by the cushion. I thought I was losing it, but then realized, "I am the parent of a two year old". And all was well.

Summer Vacation

We spent last week at Garden City Beach, south of Myrtle Beach. It was a great time for the whole family. Abby and Aaron loved playing in the water and playing with their cousins.

 

Aldersgate Camp

We went to Aldersgate Camp on Memorial Day and spent the night in one of the cottages. Aaron could not wait to see the "horseys". He also had a great time playing in the creek. We'll go back for a week in July - I'm sure Aaron will find the creek again.

 

Sesame Street Live

Aaron danced all night at Sesame Street - He loves Elmo! He even sweet talked Dodo into an $8 Elmo balloon (sucker) 

Ride 'em Cowgirl

One of the highlights of Memorial Day weekend was Abby's ride on the mechanical bull. She actually did pretty well - she certainly is brave. 

Goodbye Training Wheels

Last weekend, Abby decided she wanted the training wheels off her bike. She was riding like a pro in no time. Where's the helmet, mommy?

Christmas at the Howards

We spent a couple of days in Marysville, Ohio with Gina and Mike and crew. Granddaddy and Gracie and Mike and Debbie were there, too.

Princesses on Ice

Abby and her friend, Sutton, went to see Disney's Princesses on Ice. They had a great time together. Sutton said, "This was the best night of my life!"
