We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday, so Abby and Aaron finally got to play in the snow. No luck with building a snow man - the snow wouldn't pack very well.
But, we had fun anyway. No Snow Man, but lots of Snow Angels.
We went to Lexington and spent a few days with Bill and Gracie. Gina and her family were there, too. Abby and Shelby had fun playing together. It's too bad we don't live closer so they can see each other more. Aaron was in rare form while we were there. (As you can see from the picture) I think he enjoyed all his cousins too. Here they all are: Abby, Aaron, Shelby, Libby and Grant
We all went fishing at a friend's pond. Abby and Aaron had lots of fun. Abby says she caught some fish, but every time she would get one on her line she would drop the pole and run!! Aaron was just so noisy he scared all the fish away. Mommy caught the biggest fish of the day!!
Abby and Aaron love to go hiking at Carter Caves with their Daddy! Angie has been working a lot of nights so Brad takes them hiking in the morning so Angie can have a quiet house to sleep.
This year, Abby's birthday party theme was horses. We had a big cookout in the backyard. We gave all the kids cowboy hats and had stick horse races. (You should have seen them go!) Then we had a horse pinata. It really was a lot of fun! One little boy said it was the best party he had ever been to. Way to go, Mom!!!
Giddy-up!! Aaron got in on the fun, too.
Pinata time!
Here's the whole gang! I think everyone had a great time!
This evening, I was getting ready for bed and our couch started talking to me. It was saying, "Cookies, Cookies, Cookies". It sounded a lot like Cookie Monster, but it was our couch. I turned on the light in the living room and cautiously approached the couch...only to find Aaron's Cookie Monster book tucked into one of the cushions. The sound effects button was being pushed down by the cushion. I thought I was losing it, but then realized, "I am the parent of a two year old". And all was well.
