Fishing with Mr. Bob

Bob Johnson took us out on Grayson lake on his boat. It was the first time Aaron had been on a boat and the first time he had been fishing.





































This is Aaron's first fish! It's not quite as big as he told everyone it was.




















Abby is a pro at fishing. She even baits her own hook!

Myrtle Beach

We went on vacation to Myrtle Beach this summer. We went with all the Hoggs. Abby and Aaron had a blast in the ocean and playing with all their cousins.

Aldersgate Camp

We spent a week at Aldersgate Camp this summer while Brad deaned a middle school camp. Angie, Abby and Aaron just played all week. Abby loved the farm animals, especially the horses. They both loved playing in the creek.

Gone Fishing

Abby and Daddy went to Grayson Lake spillway for one last fishing trip before school started. Abby even put the worm on the hook by herself, something she would not have done at the beginning of the summer. The highlight of the day was the mink that scared Abby and ran us up the bank.

"A Day Out With Thomas"

We went to the Kentucky Railway Museum for "A Day Out with Thomas". They had a petting zoo, a bouncy house, Thomas toy trains, model trains, and a Thomas story station. Then we got to take a ride on a real train pulled by Thomas! It was a lot of fun.












































































Abby and Aaron got to climb on old real steam engine. They got to sit in the conductor's seat and ring the bell. We were amazed at how big the engine was.

Mother Daughter Camp

Angie and Abby went to Aldersgate Camp for a mother-daughter camp out. We cooked our food over the fire, went on a hike to the cave, and had an adventure with a skunk!



















































The girls spent a lot of time in the creek trying to catch crawdads. And here they are showing off their lightning bugs in their cups.

The Wedding

Aaron and Abby got to be in Phillip and Jenny's wedding last weekend. They were so excited! Angie was worried about how Aaron would do but they both did great!

















Aaron called his tux his "wedding". He loved wearing it. He even wore his "wedding" to church Sunday. He was the best dressed guy there!















Abby got her hair done Saturday morning before the wedding. She looked like a princess.

Easter

We had a good Easter. After church we went to Do-Do and Poppy's for lunch with all the rest of the Hogg crew. Aaron was so excited to wear his tie! (He calls it his tag)




































Aaron loved his "tag" so much he wanted to wear it all day, even with his sweatshirt. He even took a nap with it.

A weekend with the Hoekstra's

We had friends visit last weekend from Michigan. Abby and Ali had a blast. Aaron and Caleb had fun playing "Cars" and trains. And Benjamin just hung around and was cute!

The Best of Times....the Worst of Times

Abby loves to travel! You would think taking a family trip was the worst thing possible. She really did have a good time on our trip to Cincy.


And Aaron is just happy all the time, especially when he can play his drums and sing, "Pharaoh, Pharaoh"

Finally a Snow Day!

We got about 5 inches of snow yesterday, so Abby and Aaron finally got to play in the snow. No luck with building a snow man - the snow wouldn't pack very well.

But, we had fun anyway. No Snow Man, but lots of Snow Angels.

Christmas in Lexington

We went to Lexington and spent a few days with Bill and Gracie. Gina and her family were there, too. Abby and Shelby had fun playing together. It's too bad we don't live closer so they can see each other more.
Aaron was in rare form while we were there. (As you can see from the picture) I think he enjoyed all his cousins too.
